March Favourites

It’s April!! Can you believe it?? So many things have happened in March and it is now time to share with you my favourite products which I have been using throughout the last month.

First up is my new baby. I am now a proud owner of my new car and I couldn’t love it any more!! It was not the car I was going to test drive and if you’d have asked a month ago if I would own a car like it I would have said no way!! I now adore this car, it is so comfortable to drive for long commutes to work and has enough space to fit seven big bin bags in the boot and three people in the back less cramped than in my previous car.

Second are my high waisted skinny jeans from Marks and Spencer!! I don’t know whether I put these in my last favourites but again I have been living in these jeans they are soft and comfortable and the colour is perfect for a spring windy day out!! I normally wear these jeans with some converse and a blouse type top.

If you are looking for the perfect sweet snack that’s healthier than a chocolate bar then I can highly recommend these Trek original oak protein flapjacks. I found these in the Free From isle in the supermarket and they are so tasty and full of flavour!! They are also sold in cocoa and coconut flavour which are equally delicious.

I have been having some trouble with my skin lately and it has been really sensitive but I have been using the Nivea refreshing toner to try and cool and soothe my skin and it has worked a treat! I use this before I go to bed or before I apply make up and it makes my skin so soft and ready for the day!

My final favourite for the past month is the film the Immitation Game. I bought this solely because it has Benedict Cumberbatch in it who is one of my favourite actors. I can surprisingly say I love this film and would tell anybody I know to watch it. I have watched it around three times this month and it is such a beautiful tale about a man who lived in my home town.

What have been your favourite products for March? Let me know what you think I should try in the products I would love to hear suggestions!!

My Top Three Workout Outfits

Hello everybody,

At the moment I feel like I am spending most of my life in either work outfits or workout clothing so I thought it was time I shared with you my top three workout outfits. I love working out and trying new classes and I love having a suitable but also quite a stylish outfit to wear to the classes I go to for example I don’t want to wear the same clothes that I would wear to a combat class, to go to a yoga class.

I absolutely adore these West Coast leggings from Alo Yoga they are available in three colours but ironically I would wear these to a Yoga class. The have a stirrup bottom so that they don’t ride up your leg but they still look acceptable enough to go bare foot at a yoga class if you so wish.

Legging

To go with these leggings I like a brightly coloured top such as this vixen fitted muscle tank in the colour atlas. This is also available from Alo Yoga and has beautiful detail with a sheer but not to revealing cut out.

Tank

To finish this look I would add: the Alo Yoga atlas glow bra which can be worn on its own with the leggings; these Nike Presto fly trainers in white and the sunset jack from Alo Yoga. This outfit is such a light and summery outfit and I think it is perfect for a yoga class whatever the weather.

Bra
Trainer
Jacket

My second outfit is what I am most likely to wear out running because I like aeration and not to feel like my clothes are clinging to me when I run. The main part of this outfit are obviously the running shoes and I like the Nike energy boost three shoes in all black.

Trainer

I am in love with this Sapopa novita stretch-jersey leggings because they are mostly black but have the yellow and blue which do also provide reflection for darker evening runs.

Legging

The Under Armour show stopper spacer t-shirt is a perfect complement for this outfit and also doesn’t restrict your outfit to being all black. It is in a midnight navy colour and is light and aerated which is what you want when out on a run. To finish this outfit off I would have a high support sports bra such as this Ivy Park racerback stretch-jersey sports bra in black and this Lucas Hugh core stretch-jersey running jacket.

Top
Bra
Jacket

The third and final outfit is perfect for a high intensity class such as a spin session or combat class! the bulk of this outfit is Sweaty Betty but I find it very difficult most of the time to wear workout clothes from different brands. These contour crop workout leggings are jazzy but sophisticated and I love the pattern of them.

Legging

To go with my jazzy leggings I of course also have to have a jazzy sports crop which is a medium supprt bra as well and has a racerback for serious comfort and this oversized sweat which I adore for all obvious reasons in it one being oversized and two being black! I would finish this look with the New balance WX811 trainers in black.

Bra top
Sweat
Trainer

So these are my top three outfits. Obviously there are so many more that I love and want to buy/own already but that’s the way it has to be! What do you like to workout in? let me know in the comments.

Designer NYE party outfits

Hello everybody,

I thought it would be the perfect time to share with you my favourite designer looks for a New Year’s Eve party. Whether it be a fancy meal and drinks or a full on party, these outfits would look stunning. I will leave links to the items under the pictures for each outfit.

This Diane Von Furstenberg Hallie two gold jacquard mini dress is a stunning glitzy dress for a party, which is why it is first on my list. I would match it with simple black accessories such as these Gianvito Rossi muse black suede sandals and this Givenchy bow cut black leather clutch, so that the dress is the full star of the show.

Dress
Shoes
Clutch bag
Second on my list is this gorgeous Victoria Beckham curved cami fitted maxi dress, this is a beautiful red and I would match it with silver accessories such as these Yves Saint Laurent tribute glitter sandals and this Roger Vivier pilgrim embellished clutch.

Dress
Clutch
Heels
Next is this Gucci Pleated Metallic Leather Skirt in a gorgeous silver colour, paired with this Ted Baker off-the-shoulder knitted top. I would match this with some Christian Louboutin bianca 140 patent calf heels just to finish off the glamour pjs look.

Skirt
Top
Heels
Finally is this gorgeous jumpsuit by Alice + Olivia. This strapless jumpsuit oozes style and sophistication and is perfect for a NYE party. I would pair this with some pops of red by adding these Aldo Nandra suede heeled sandals and this Mulberry darley large leather clutch.

Jumpsuit
Shoes
Bag
So there you have it my New Years Eve party outfits. Let me know what you think in the comments.

Wellies and Wristbands

Hello everyone,

I hope you have all been having a lovely last few days of the Summer Holidays before you go back to school.

On Thursday I travelled down to Foxlease Training and Activity Centre in Lyndhurst, Hampshire, for a Girl Guiding Festival called Wellies and Wristbands. The festival is organised by volunteers and the centre manager and is like a mini Glastonbury for Guides and The Senior Section.

I went down as a volunteer and worked on the Security team along with some really lovely people. I was put in the Princess Mary House for my accommodation in the Australia room and lucky for me I was sharing a room with some awesome ladies!

On the Friday all of the units arrived from all across the country. They started arriving by twelve and had to have their tents pitched and be ready for dinner at 1700 that evening. The first evening consisted of five performers; The Waiters; Joey Devries, Victoria Louise, Josh Taylor, Jack Morlen and Michael Sutthakorn. The girls really enjoyed their first evening.

On the Saturday the girls could enjoy loads of different activities throughout the day, their was a Pamper Zone, a Walled Garden Café, different activities from crate stacking to kayaking, Hot Tubs, a Craft Tent, inflatables and Segway’s to name but a few things. On the Saturday evening there were another five performers: RoadTrip, Channy Thompson, Chloe Adam, Polar Collective and Alien Uncovered.

The Sunday was pretty much the same as the Saturday with the girls doing the activities they were unable to do the previous day. I was part of the Security team throughout my time and on Sunday I was by the stage for the performances on the Sunday. There were yet again some great performers that the girls loved: Kevin Simm, The Brooks, Lew Rey and District 12.

The whole event was a massive success with 2500 girls and leaders all coming together in one place! The décor for the event was amazing with windmills up the drive way, fairy lights through the campsites leading the way and lanterns, signs and bunting to give it the all important festival feel.

The Catering was amazing with the set menu being so varied and catering for everybody’s individual needs. There was also a Night Café which served chips and burgers, as well as a visit from Ice Cream Vans and a Tango Blast Van.

I met some such wonderful people over the weekend and will most definitely be going back again next year whether it be volunteering or taking my guides with me so that they can experience this fun and safe environment!

I want to give a huge shout out to the centre and all of the volunteers especially Anne and her team who organised and carried out the whole event.

I will leave a link to the Wellies and Wristbands Song by Polar Collective Here

May Favourites

Hello everyone,

Happy June! I am going to share with you my favourite things from this lovely month of May.

First up is a foodie item and it the Propercorn Popcorn. I loved the sweet and salty flavour and the Sweet Coconut and Vanilla but there are so many other delicious flavours to choose from. If you ever fancy some popcorn this is the stuff to buy.  I have recently bought the Sweet Almond and Peanut butter popcorn to try.

Second are these three gorgeous Spring/Summer nail polishes from the Rita Ora Rimmel London Collection. I picked up the Port a Loo blue, Bestival Blue and Orangina. These polishes coat so beautifully and do not take a lot of layers to make an impact. They last really well I have worn my polish for two weeks and it has only just starting chipping.

Third is a homeware item, I saw these in IKEA at Lakeside and I thought they were gorgeous!! They are little lanterns in baby blue to put tealights in. They matched perfectly with my room and I just had to get them.

Forth we have a couple of bodywashes, both by Original Source. One is in the Mango flavour which gives an amazing tropical scent for a warm sunny day and the other is in the scent Coconut and Shea Butter. I love love love these bodywashes and would highly recommend you try them.

I have recently been trying to use Dry Shampoo a lot more as the weather is getting warmer and my hair has lost some of its volume due to being over washed. I have started to carry around the Girlz Only Dry Shampoo and it really helps me during a long day at work or with friends to give me a little bit of lift in my hair.

Next is a Coffee and it is the Nescafé Azera Americano coffee. This drink is so light and doesn’t leave a horrible aftertaste like some coffees can. It is great as a morning drink or to impress friends after lunch. I love to carry a little tub of it around for when I am out and about working so that I know there is a hot drink that I like.

Finally we have my new babies, so precious that they have only been worn once when I was absolutely certain there were no puddles on the ground!! They are the adidas original superstar trainers in white and black leather. They are so comfortable to wear and although they are a bit on the pricey side (£70) they will be worn in all the warm weather we get.

What are you favourite products this month? Leave them in the comments below if you reccommend I try them out.

A Lovely Easter Weekend

Hello everybody,

I hope those of you that celebrate Easter have had a lovely Easter weekend and not eaten too much chocolate!!

This weekend has been a busy and eventful weekend with family visiting.

Breakfast of course consisted of a toasted hot cross bun with butter and a cup of tea in my favourite cup of the week.

Yesterday my family on my dad’s side came down for dinner, which meant that our little cousin was coming down. We held an Easter Egg hunt for him which I joined in with as my little sister hid the eggs around the house and the garden, of course he got to take all of the chocolates home, we then did some Easter baking which consisted of making chocolate treats due to the time limit we had.

After our baking of course we had to take a trip to the farm so the pups could have a run!!

For supper we had beef casserole with veg and roast potatoes lovingly cooked by my mother and of course the meal wasn’t complete without a cocktail and nanny’s homemade apple pie for desert.

It was such a lovely day and I’m so grateful that I still have so much family to spend time with.

Today has started with seeing how many Easter eggs the bunny bought me, I’m glad to say there were five plus extras. I then had breakfast of the obvious choice (boiled egg and soldiers) in my new egg cup. There was of course an Easter egg for the pups as well.

Today has been a bit more of a lazier day though with a long windy hike up the South Downs with the pups to see the sheep and cows waiting to have their babies on the farm. And then chilling on the sofa with my family watching silly films and the reruns of Sherlock that have been on television with a glass of sparkling rosé.

I hope you have all had a lovely Easter and for those who don’t celebrate it I hope you have had a lovely weekend.
